Owner/Mechanical Engineer, Nathan Lewis started Blue Dog Seventy Six in 2021 after working as a product engineer and seeing first-hand how positive working relationships benefited the customer and the end product they received. He wanted to create an avenue that allowed for personalized support through every step of the design and manufacturing process.

The company began with a sole focus on the research and design process, but quickly expanded to include his experience from his previous roles.  Through effective project management, facilitation between  customers and vendors, and ensuring that the end product meets the expectations of the client, he was able to take on new projects of varying scopes and continue to expand the company's reach.

Recent projects include electromechanical design of a flow cytometer, design of a machine for stem cell processing, reverse engineering for aftermarket parts for vehicles, design review for patents, and consulting work for both additive and subtractive manufacturing in optomechanical systems
